OUR COMMITMENT Psalms 44:17-22

WE CLING TO GOD IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES
    IN TRIAL V.17                           All this is come upon us;
        TRUST HIM
           NO IGNORANCE               yet have we not forgotten You,
    IN TRUTH                                  neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant
        TRIUMPH IN HIM V.18
           NO INFIDELITY               Our heart is not turned back,
           NO INSECURITY              neither have our steps declined from thy way
    IN TESTING V.19                    Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of         

                                                           dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death
         TREASURE HIM V.20
            NO INDIFFERENCE      If we have forgotten the name of our God,
            NO IDOLATRY                 or stretched out our hands to a strange god;

GOD CONCENTRATES ON US IN ALL CONDITIONS V.21
     NOTHING IS CONCEALED FROM HIM    Shall not God search this out? for he

                                                                                        knows the secrets of the heart.

WE CRY TO GOD IN ALL CRUCIBLES V.22  Yes, for Your sake are we killed all the

                                                                 day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter

THE SCREAM OF THE ABANDONED SOUL V.23
     A CALL TO AWARENESS                  Awake, why sleep You, O Lord?
     A CRY TO ACTION                               arise, cast us not off for ever.
THE SHRIEK OF THE AGONIZING WE FEEL HOPELESS

                                                                          and forget our affliction and our oppression?
THE SHUDDER OF ABSOLUTE COLLAPSE V.25-26
     CRAWLING IN THE DUST    For our soul is bowed down to the dust:
     CHAINED IN DESPAIR           our belly cleaves unto the earth.
     CRYING IN DESPERATION  Arise for our help, & redeem us for Your mercies’ sake
