Feeling Jesus

That Christ may dwell in our hearts by faith;

How cool is it to feel Jesus inside us

How awesome to know He’s got all the time in the day for us

And not just all day but all night too

He’s constantly there with us. Listening to us & talking to us

Holding us. Guiding us. Caring for us. Living in us. Living through us

that we, being rooted & grounded in love,

There is nothing better then HIS LOVE

O the deep, deep love of Jesus, vast, unmeasured, boundless, free!

Rolling as a mighty ocean in its fullness over me!

Underneath me, all around me, is the current of Thy love

Leading onward, leading homeward to Thy glorious rest above!

How He loveth, ever loveth, changeth never, nevermore!

How He watches o’er His loved ones, died to call them all His own;

How for them He intercedeth, watcheth o’er them from the throne!

’Tis an ocean full of blessing, ’tis a haven giving rest!

O the deep, deep love of Jesus, ’tis a heav’n of heav’ns to me;

And it lifts me up to glory, for it lifts me up to Thee!

May be able to comprehend (loves dimensions)

Loves breadth & length & depth & height;

To know (and grasp) the love of Christ, which passes knowledge,

that we might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Eph. 3:18-20

Thomas Goodwin, a 17th-century writer noted,

that one day he saw a father & son walking along the street.

Suddenly the father swept the son up into his arms & hugged him & kissed him

He told the boy he loved him & then after a minute he put the boy back down.

Was the boy more a son in the father’s arms than he was down on the street?

Objectively & legally, there was no difference, but subjectively & experientially,

there was all the difference in the world.

In his father’s arms, the boy was experiencing his sonship.”
