Extraordinary afflictions are not specifically the punishment of extraordinary sins,
Extraordinary afflictions are instead the pathway to the reception of extraordinary graces.
Extraordinary afflictions are not a demotion but are actually a spiritual promotions.
What do we prefer? Would we rather have, a smooth path, or a path so rough
that the Lord is prompted to show His face to us every step of the way?
