On The election

“The design and purpose of God are fixed, not fickle.

He knows what he intends.”

We often begin with a design.
We deviate from that design when see another that would be better.
We may divert again as we see that our better thing is not attainable.
We may be obliged to be content with something inferior.

But with God there is no defect of judgment
With God there’s no moment that would require amendment.
There’s no defect in His power
There’s nothing that would push Him from his first determination.

God has a plan.
We can depend on Him to fulfill His plan.
God is never random.
We insult His all knowing intellect if we suppose that he is haphazard and indiscriminate in His plan or method.

Spurgeon notes:

God has one boundless purpose which embraces all things,
both things which he permits and things which he ordains.

God boundless purpose doesn’t for a moment deny the freedom of the human will,

God in His supreme wisdom foresees all the curious twistings
of the human will,
God anticipates every devious attempt by humanity.
God overrules all the sneaky corrupt trickery and even exposes it
for His own ends.

God knows and numbers all the inclinations and devices of men.
God’s plan in its mighty sweep takes them all into account.

From that plan God never swerves.
What he has resolved to do he will do.
The settled purpose of God’s heart will stand for ever sure.

Of what use could the opposition of fallen angels or of
corrupt humanity be when Omnipotence asserts its supremacy?

When we walk outside in the morning the spiders have
spun their webs across our path during the dark night.
We plunge through all the silky threads that have been
weaved and they vanish

Every scheme, regardless how skillfully contrived and woven,
collapse to God’s purpose.

The will of God will be done. God moulds all events into his chosen form.

God’s dominion is absolute.
We can’t change God’s course.
We can’t change God’s desired end result.

“The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord,
as the rivers of water: he turn it where he will.”

God knows every means to bend the thoughts of humanity.
The darkness never overcomes the light
Evil doesn’t overcome good but good overcomes evil.

Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities,
for there is no authority except that which is from God.
The authorities that exist have been appointed by God.

Romans 13:1

No one is ultimately elected by the ballots of human determination

We make our choices and The authorities that exist are appointed by God.

Statisticians determinations mean zero

What would a statistical analysis decide about reality of God’s existence?

The existence of God is more of a realty then the existence of all of humanity

We are a vapor. We are phantoms.

Our God who knows each sparrow that falls knows precisely each step taken

Our God who knows each hair on our head knows exactly the end result of everything

In politics there are extreme polarized enemies.

If our enemy is hungry, we’re to feed them;
if our enemy is thirsty, we’re to give them a drink.

When we do this, we will heap burning coals on their head

We’re to bless those that curse us

We’re to pray for those that dispitefully use us

We’re to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness,

but rather reprove them.

We Don’t waste our time on useless work, mere busywork,

We Don’t waste our time on the barren pursuits of darkness.

We’re to Expose these things for the sham they are.

It’s a scandal when people waste their lives on things they have to do

in the darkness where no one will see.

Rip the cover off those frauds and see how attractive they look in the light of Christ.

We’re to Wake up from our sleep,
We’re to Climb out of our coffins;

Christ will show us the light!

We’re to watch our step.
We’re to Use your head.
We’re to Make the most of every chance we get.

These are desperate times!
