Is there anything too hard for the Lord?

Gen. 18:14

I made a characteristic mistake this morning.

I looked in the wrong mirror

The mirror looked back at my old face and lied

It said You’re not good enough

It said You can’t do it

It said You’re not as lucky as other people

It said You’re too limited

It said you’ll never be able to do it

It said Everyone can do it better than you

It said You’re too weak,

It said You’re too old,

It said You’re too dumb

It said Nobody cares about you

It said You’re not clever enough

It said You don’t do well

It said You’re a failure

It said all you can think bout is the worst case scenario

It said You’ve blown it too much

When we look in the right mirror

When we look in the real mirror we reflect correctly.

We need to look constantly in the mirror of God’s voice

We need to let Him hear our voice.

We pray for those we love

A while back I asked my grandson about his concerns

He thought for a minute and said

Grandpa, this fog worries me.

I said why?

He said the monkey bars are hard

in the fog.

He liked to get to school early for the monkey bars.

So we prayed about the monkey bars.

I asked him what he was looking forward to in his classes.

He said his favorite thing is sharing.

He had a stress toy he was taking to share with his class.

He let me hold it.

It’s a glob you squeeze.

Neat stuff.

Monkey bars and globs to squeeze.

We prayed about stress together.

I was trying to share God’s mirror with him.

God’s mirror is where we Receive –

God’s mirror says Prayer is always effective.

Ask and it will be given to us;

seek and we will find;

knock and the door will be opened to us.

For everyone who asks, RECEIVES;

and the one who seeks, FINDS;

and to the one who knocks,

the door will be OPENED.”

Mt 7:7-8

Prayer is God’s Will –

HE ASKS US TO “pray constantly”

1 Thessalonians 5:17

Even about the fog and the monkey bars

Even about the stress globs we get to squeeze

It’s actually easy to do the #1 thing

God wants us to do.

Which is just talk to Him and listen to Him

Is there anything too hard for the Lord? Gen. 18:14

No there’s nothing too hard for the Lord

Our age is not a factor-

Abraham had kids in his upper 90s

What others have doesn’t matter

God says He’ll provide everything

We have no limits

Since God is for us nothing is against us

So, what do we think?

With God on our side how can we lose?

If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us,

Since God was willing to bankrupt Heaven for us

Because God embraced our condition

Because God exposed himself to our worst by sending his own

Precious Son for us,

Is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us?

Who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God’s chosen?

Who would dare even to point a finger at us in ridicule?

The One who died for us—

The One who was raised to life for us!—

The One who is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us.

Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us?

There is no way!

Not trouble,

not hard times,

not hatred,

not hunger,

not homelessness,

not bullying threats,

not backstabbing,

not even the worst sins every done:

We may feel like sitting ducks;

We may feel like fish in a barrel to be picked off one by one.

None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us.

We can be absolutely convinced that nothing—

nothing living or dead,

nothing angelic or demonic,

nothing today or tomorrow,

nothing high or low,

nothing thinkable or unthinkable—

absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love

Jesus our Master has embraced us and He’s not letting go

After they amputated Jill’s left leg they gave her mirror therapy

They gave her a long mirror while she layed in bed to show her her missing leg and the leg that was

still there

Then they stood her on one leg between parallel bars to see her missing leg

It was traumatic

It was tremendously devastating

It was horrendously scarring

We have to look in the right therapeutic mirror

Everyone who exalts themself will be humbled,

but the one who humbles themselves will be exalted.

Luke 14:11

So we humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God,

that he may exalt us in His time.

1 Peter 5:6

Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will exalt you.

James 4:10

We may be old

We may be weak and in pain

We may have failures and defeats

We may have lost and missing parts

We may have sorrow upon sorrow

Is anything too hard for the Lord?

God’s mirror says look,

I am the LORD, the God of all …

I made the heaven and the earth

by my great power and stretched out arm,

and there is nothing too hard for me

Jeremiah 32:27

God’s mirror reflects

That Jesus looks at us and says to us,

With people this is impossible;

but with God all things are possible.

Matthew 19:26

The poet cries

Help, GOD—

the bottom has fallen out of my life!

Master, hear my cry for help!

Listen hard! Open your ears!

Listen to my cries for mercy.

If You, GOD, kept records on wrongdoings,

who would stand a chance?

But fortunately, as it turns out,

forgiveness is Jesus habit and that’s why You are worshiped.

We pray to GOD-

we want to make our life a constant prayer-

We wait for what you God to say and do for us

Our life’s all before God, our Lord,

waiting and watching constantly for His amazing miracles

Looking in the right mirror

With GOD ’s arrival comes love,

with GOD ’s arrival comes generous salvation.

He’s not looking at our weakness

He’s not looking at or keeping records of our failures,

He’s not looking at weaknesses,

He’s not looking at flaws,

He’s not keeping track of our faults or sins

He only sees Christ in us and us in Christ

We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us

Is anything too hard for the Lord?

No nothing is too hard, nothing.

Not even the monkey bars in the fog.
